HEATHER of SWEET TEA JUBILEE

June 16, 2017

Heather is one of the first Influencers I became friends with in Savannah. Her blog, Sweet Tea Jubilee embraces all things 'southern', and really is the perfect name for her online platform. Why? Because Heather is one of the sweetest people I've met and I feel thankful to have crossed paths with her. While he calls Savannah home now, with her Husband and pup, she used to live in Charleston and has been a go to resource for me when I need a: coffee shop, smoothie bar, clothing store etc. etc. etc. Heather is also a member of Savannah Influencers and participates/gives back regularly in the community.

Heather:

Hi everyone! I'm honored that Andrea reached out to me for one of her #fridayintroductions series on her blog. I have loved following along with some of the other great gals that she's featured that I've met through the Savannah Influencers group!  Thanks Andrea and Meredith for creating that community for us to give back and help each other out!

I currently am living in Savannah with my handsome husband and sweet Spring Spaniel pup. I moved to Savannah two years ago from Charleston after my husband and I got married. Savannah is such a beautiful, romantic, and easy going Southern city. I love living by the water and being surrounded by marshes, rivers, and big oak trees covered in Spanish moss. I grew up in Richmond, Virginia so being close to the water and beaches was something so new and fun for me when I moved down here, and it's still something I get a thrill from everyday.

On the weekends, you can usually find me and my husband out on the boat, relaxing at home, entertaining friends, or visiting some of our of favorite Southern cities, like Charleston. It is where my husband lived while we were dating and where we got married so it'll always have a special place in our hearts! Hopefully, I can visit Andrea up there sometime soon!

I spend my weekdays at the Emily McCarthy Shoppe on Abercorn St. off of Victory Dr. and work with a great group of ambitious ladies. Emily McCarthy has built a great team and we all work so well together, each of us contributing our skills and talents in different ways. I do a lot of our social media and Instagram, along with managing and shipping a lot of the online orders that come through. I love that everyday is different and that I get to be involved in so many facets of the business! It is so inspiring being surrounded by other creative women!

My blog, Sweet Tea Jubilee, was started a few years ago when I lived in Charleston and had an embroidery business (Sweet Tea Monograms) that I did from home. Lately it I haven't given it the blog the attention that it deserves because I've been so busy with my day job but I've made it my goal this summer to focus on sharing some great new content so hopefully there will be lots of that coming in the upcoming weeks! You can always find me over on Instagram though, sharing everything from a little daily inspiration to my latest outfit post! I love being able to inspire other people and find joy in celebrating the little things.. like the fact that today is Friday and I get to spend the weekend with family for my cousin's wedding and Father's Day! Hope y'all have a great weekend and thanks for reading a little bit about me!

xo, Heather
